How to book a room on Flatmates Nigeria

Browse listings, pick your dates and confirm your booking in a few steps.

Finding a room

Start by using the search bar on the Flatmates Nigeria homepage. Enter your preferred location - a neighbourhood, city, or address - then set your move-in date and the duration of your stay.

Use the filters to narrow results by price, room type, amenities, and whether a listing is verified. Listings with the red 'Verified' badge have been reviewed by our team.

Tap any listing card to read the full description, view all photos, and check the house rules before proceeding.

Sending a booking request

Once you have found a listing you like, tap the 'Book' or 'Request to book' button on the listing page. You will be asked to:

  • Select your move-in and move-out dates
  • Choose the number of guests
  • Add a short message to the host introducing yourself

If the listing has Instant Book enabled, your booking is confirmed immediately. Otherwise, the host has 24 hours to accept or decline your request. You will not be charged until the host accepts.

Confirming your booking

After the host accepts, you will receive a confirmation email and push notification. Your payment is held in escrow until 24 hours after your check-in date - this protects you if the room looks significantly different from the listing.

You can view your booking details, check-in instructions, and contact your host at any time from your Bookings dashboard.

After you book

Your host should send check-in instructions at least 24 hours before your arrival. If you do not receive these, use the in-app message thread to contact your host directly.

On check-in day, inspect the room carefully. If anything is significantly different from the listing, contact Flatmates support within 24 hours and do not leave the property - this keeps your options open for a refund or rebooking.
