Flatmates Nigeria is a property rental and flatmate-matching platform designed for the Nigerian market. It combines the trust of Airbnb with a user-friendly interface and a proven shared-accommodation model adapted to Nigerian realities. Key features include NIN/BVN verification, escrow payments, caution deposit protection and coverage across 35 Nigerian cities. As an early mover, we are fast-paced and the person who joins now will define the brand's identity for years to come.
Within twelve months, you will have built a library of reusable motion templates and a visual identity for video that the whole team can lean on: onboarding explainers that make the product click in seconds, social content that stops the scroll, and launch videos that turn a feature update into an event.
You're not just editing footage. You're building the visual language people associate with Flatmates before they've even signed up.
You'll spend your days close to the Content Creator and product team: reviewing raw footage, building templates other people can reuse without you, testing new motion styles, and constantly asking "how do we make this two seconds better?"
We don't care where you studied. We care whether your work makes people stop and watch.
You've got a folder of motion references you keep coming back to, and you can explain exactly why each one works. You rewatch app onboarding flows and title sequences just to reverse-engineer the timing. You've turned rough, unglamorous footage into something people actually wanted to watch, more than once. You get a real kick out of shaving half a second off a transition because it just feels better.
You'll edit raw footage into polished short-form and long-form video for social, web, and product, and design the motion graphics and animated explainers that carry our onboarding and feature launches. You'll build reusable motion templates and visual assets the content team can run with independently, so quality doesn't bottleneck on you for every single post. You'll partner closely with the Content Creator on shoot planning, storyboarding, and pacing, and help maintain one consistent visual identity across everything we put out. You'll optimise every export for its platform, whether that's Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, or web.
