About the role

Our mobile app is coming and you will be the founding mobile engineer, owning architecture, tooling, and delivery. This is a rare opportunity to set the technical direction for a high-growth consumer app.

What you will do

Architect and build the Flatmates mobile app from the ground up in React Native

Integrate with our existing Next.js API layer and Supabase backend

Implement push notifications, deep linking, and offline-first patterns

Own app store releases for both iOS and Android

Collaborate with product and design on the mobile-specific experience

Your Expertise

    3+ years of React Native experience

    Published apps on both iOS and Android

    Experience with Expo or bare React Native

    Comfortable with TypeScript and async state management

    Understanding of mobile performance optimisation
